“Anna Rorie is an archaeologist and biological anthropologist specializing in bioarchaeology and human skeletal analysis. She received her M.A. in Anthropology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Her research focuses on methodological issues in skeletal sex estimation, particularly how age-related and menopause-associated changes affect cranial and pelvic morphology and the accuracy of traditional sex estimation methods in older adults.
At UNC Charlotte, she primarily teaches archaeology courses, emphasizing hands-on learning, methodological rigor, and the integration of archaeological theory with applied practice, especially within Southeastern U.S. archaeology and cultural resource management contexts.”
