                                Kofi Mensah is a medical anthropologist with an interest in the social and behavioral aspects of mental health and drug addiction. His research looks at the influence of social dynamics and social structures on mental healthcare systems from a critical medical anthropology perspective. He is particularly interested in the impact of stigma on mental healthcare and drug addiction treatment and recovery. His research population includes, but is not limited to, Sub-Saharan Africa, particularly Ghana, and the African diaspora in the United States. He currently holds a graduate certificate in culturally centered addiction research.
